The Quoo is our little corner of the internet - a place for animal care, creative projects, honest and open storytelling, and creating community!
The name “Quoo” comes from two words that means a lot to us; Queer and Zoo. We are a Queer married couple who have shared our lives with quite the zoo over the years: cats, dogs, snakes, lizards, geckos, crabs, fish, spiders, and other wonderfully diverse and strange creatures.
At The Quoo, you’ll find skilled and experienced animal care services through Home Is Where The Paws Are (a division of Livin’ La Vida Locum RVT Services), bioactive terrariums and upcycled custom habitat builds for commission, and info on our creative work - we have music, photography singing, writing, and more!

Experienced, compassionate support for animals (and their humans!) who need individualized care. Services include dog walking, nail trims, gland expressions, medication administration assistance, and more!

A note about The Quoo, Home Is Where The Paws Are Services, and Livin’ La Vida Locum RVT Services:
These services are not a replacement for veterinary diagnostics, prescriptions, or dispensing medication, nor any surgical or emergency care.
Services are provided within the professional scope of Scott’s 20 years of RVT experience and Christopher’s 20 years of non-clinic animal care, and you will require the direction of a veterinarian for the services listed in the previous paragraph. Scott may advise you on which veterinary clinic or pet hospital will best suit your needs, especially if you are without current veterinary care.
If your pet is unwell, injured, in pain, or experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your veterinary clinic or local emergency animal hospital.
